We all talk to God differently.

I believe that everyone talks and communicates with God in different ways. For me it's through music. I love singing a song that is exactly how I feel and says exactly what I want to say to God. So I thought I would share a few lines from some of my favorite songs:)

A slice of cake...

Attention ALL girls. 

So, me and one of my friends were talking about relationships. ohhhlalalalaa. And last year I read a book called redefining beautiful.It has so much great advice on boys. Hahaha. And it talked about how you should never force a relationship just to have a boyfriend. I feel like so many girls in high school just want to be loved and feel accepted that they will take any guy that wants them. But it's like God the ultimate King already loves and accepts you. God is never late and girl all you have to do is wait. The hardest part is the waiting. We all want our prince n.o.w. But it's quite a bit early for the majority of us. Another thing is like every girl wants herself a man. At age 15 I'm pretty sure not one of these boys is a man. And why are we trying to force them to be?! They aren't ready yet. And why are we making is so easy on them?! They need to build up muscle and courage so that when they do find a girl, they are the ones who pursue her. No princess has to work for her prince. When we make it too easy by making ourselves too available, how are we helping boys to become men?! We're not!If anything we're causing them to stumble! As girls we need to help them become men! If we make it too easy on them, they aren't ever going to grow up. So ladies let's do our part! And sweetheart if you expect to find a prince, then you better be acting like a princess. Classy=Classy. Trashy=Trashy. Classy boys want classy girls. Trashy boys want trashy girls. Don't expect to get something that you aren't. 
And as girls, we get very emotionally attached. So it probably isn't smart to date a toooonnnn of guys. And think about it, every time you date a new guy, that means another piece of your heart taken away from your true love (husband) Here is a great analogy that helps explain it perfectly:)
Your heart is like a piece of cake. Every time you date someone, they are taking a bite out of your cake. Then when it comes time to give your heart (cake) to your husband, then the whole piece of cake isn't there anymore...Who wants a piece of cake with bites taken out of it? not me! No one does! The more you try to protect your heart the better it's going to be in the long run, and you will have wayyyyy less baggage. 
And girls let's stop settling for guys that aren't our princes. I mean like why waste time? Set standards and stick to them. There still are princes out there! The age of shivery is not yet dead. Don't give up hope! Let God place him in your life, because God is the only one who knows which prince is perfect for you<3

Homecoming!:)

Adjusting to a new school was a bit hard at first, with knowing only few people it's hard to not be a little awwwkkkward. Haha but the students at Valor are so nice and very welcoming! The hardest part is learning everybody's name. Heyyyy you! haha I mean they only have to learn one new name, I have to learn a bagillion. I'll get it eventually:)

This last week was Homecoming! Megan and I signed up for Powder Puff and it was like the most fun thing of the week for me! I was a starting defensive corner back, and I'm proud to say I pulled 2 senior girl flags:) Hahaha although we lost, it was an extremly close game. And it was so awesome getting to know more sophomore girls, great bonding time:) I didn't have a date for the dance and I was completely fine with that hahah. It's wayyy more fun going with a bunch of friends. I went and got my nails done with the girls, and then we met up at Tessa's house for pictures! We also got a Limo! hahaha classy Valor kids<3 I was afraid that the dance was going to be lame, but it was really cool! They had like a mechanical bull, and I rode it:) yyeeehhhawww! hahah the theme was A night on the Town, so there was a bunch of little stations set up. We danced the night away and now my calfs hurt from all of the partying. It overall was a crazy hectic week for me, but so much fun and I miss it already. And I'm really starting to feel like I'm making friends and finally finding my place in this crazy world. I'm really enjoying Valor so far and I'm happy with my choice to come here:)

Changes changes everywhere!

Hi my name is Jess! And I've decided to start blogging because i love to read other peoples blogs! sooo well, here we go:)


My life has never changed so fast as it did these last few months. I have now switched schools, a family friend has died of cancer, and my church has lost some awesome people.


 I now am attending Valor Christian High school. We did not know that I was going to go there this year, it was totally a Wow God thing for me. My dad had saw online that Douglas county was giving out "vouchers" which would help pay for students to go to private schools. I applied for the voucher this past summer and we had found out that i was one of the 500 to get it! we were so excited until we found out that Douglas county wasn't going to give the money anymore because of controverisal issues with private christian schools. Something to do with church and state, i don't really know hah. All we knew is that we weren't going to get the money. By this time, I had already applied to Valor and was getting everything I needed so that I could get in. But since the voucher didn't go through, I kinda just accepted that I wasn't going to go to valor. I was a little bummed but I knew that if God really wanted me there, I would be there. My mom picked me up the next day from school and told me that Valor had called her saying that some annoyomus donator was going to give me the money that the Voucher would have covered! I had never been so shocked. Someone who I didn't know and maybe never will, was going to donate money to me?! me! Wow. All I can say is expect the unexpected from God. He is SOO good. I of course broke down in tears haha because
I had never been so grateful and so thankful for someone I didn't even know. We still had a few loose ends to wrap up with Valor, and even with the donation we didn't know if I would be able to go because it didn't cover all of the tution. We applied for financial aid and waited to hear back. I had already started school at mountain vista so it was three looooonnnnnngggg days. But finally we heard back and they were going to cover what we needed them to! I have learned now to never stress about money. God is so faithful and he is bigger than ANY amount of money. And since everything came together so perfectly, I started Valor the next day. If God's will is to have you go somewhere. He will get you there. Trust:)
